We are looking for singers to form a community chorus to sing the "Hallelujah Chorus"
from Handel's Messiah. Rehearsals will be December 3, 10 and 14, 2024.
The concert is Sunday, December 15. A link to a sign up form is

West Central Singers invites
  • singers of all ages who have experience singing in a chorale group
  • who have some sight reading skills
  • and who are willing to commit to practicing at home, attending regular evening rehearsals for 10-12 weeks in a row
  • We also ask that you commit to performing in two concerts.
This group has sung in the area for over 20 years and has always been committed to bringing quality singing and performance to its audience.

We are still basking in the joy of praises about our Fall Concert this year.
It featured songs from Nursery Rhymes and Poems for a great adventure through music.
The concert included:
Hey Diddle, Diddle; Little Miss Muffet; Jack and Jill; Old Mother Hubbard; Twinkle, Twinkle LIttle Star;
Wynken, Blynken and Nod; Mary Had a Little Blues (that's not a typo :)); and Old MacDonald Had a Farm



The second half of the concert featured:
United in Purpose (Maya Angelou); Echo (Rosetti); These Things Shall Never Die (Dickens);
O Captain! My Captain! (Whitman); There Was a Time (Wordsworth);
Lift Every Voice and Sing (James Weldon Johnson)

And for the last song, Why We Sing, past members and choral singers joined us on stage.

WEST CENTRAL SINGERS DIRECTOR – Naomi Powers Baker Naomi began directing WCS the fall of 2018. She enjoys the excitement and passion of this group. After thirty-two years of teaching music, 30 in the New London-Spicer School District, Naomi is currently the Director of Music Ministry at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar, MN. Besides her love of music, Naomi enjoys having fun hanging out with family, friends and dogs.
